Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Your desire for reading the Quran is hopefully a proof of your righteous heart and of your piety. There is no doubt that a believing heart is assured and becomes tranquil when reading the Quran, since Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allaah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allaah hearts are assured."}[Quran 13:28] Also, ‘Uthmaan may Allaah be pleased with him was reported to have said, “If your hearts were pure, then they would never be satisfied with enough of the Words of Allaah The Almighty.

A Muslim, however, should not be absolutely certain that he will enter Paradise for mere observance of the acts of worship, since he does not know whether or not Allaah has accepted them from him, and whether his life will end while he is still observing these acts of worship or that he will, then, be committing sins, and whether his heart will be steadfast upon faith or it will deviate.

While it is not permissible for a Muslim to state with certainty that he will enter Paradise, he is advised to hope for the Mercy of Allaah and to fear His Punishment.

On the other hand, you do not bear a sin for being happy that you have diligently recited the Quran, because this is a sign of your faith. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, Whoever becomes happy for doing a good deed and becomes sad for committing a misdeed; this is a believer.[At-Tirmithi]

With regard to praying in a room that contains dolls, then it is permissible but as a Muslim, you should not have pictures on furniture and the like, even if such pictures are treated with disrespect, to avoid the difference of opinion regarding this matter. Please review Fataawa 92512 and 83351.

Allaah Knows best.
