Number of times 'male' and 'female' were mentioned in the Quran

Question:

Assalaamu alaykum. How many times are the words 'male' and 'female' mentioned in the Noble Quran? I heard that it is 23 times, and someone else said 24 times; which is it? May Allah reward you. Wassalaam.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The word 'male' was repeated 18 times in the Quran, in the singular, dual, and plural forms, with the definite article or without it.

As for the word 'female', it was mentioned 30 times with the definite article and without it, in the singular, dual, and plural forms.
