Question:

Sometimes I fear the future despite the fact that I have a good profession. How should I tackle such feelings?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

A person should rather be fearful about his future in the Hereafter and the fate he is going to face. Allaah Says (what means): {A party will be in Paradise (those who believed in Allaah and followed what the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) brought to them) and a party in the Blazing Fire (Hell) (those who disbelieved in Allaah and did not follow what the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) brought to them).}[Quran 42:7]. A believer remembers death, the grave, the Day or Reckoning, and the Day he will be brought in front of Allaah, this is what a believer should fear while hoping for Allaah's Mercy and Forgiveness. As regards fearing poverty, sickness and the like, then a believer who is content with the mention of Allaah and who is sure that Allaah will support His pious Slaves, should not fear this. So you have to take the permissible means and then put your trust in Allaah as He is sufficient for us, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.

Allaah Knows best.
