Egypt Arrests 25 From Banned Group

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Egyptian security agents arrested 25 members of a banned political group, the Muslim Brotherhood, on Sunday, a lawyer for the group said.
The men were arrested during a 6 a.m. raid on a meeting in Cairo's working-class Imbaba district, lawyer Abdul Moneim Abdul Maqsoud told The Associated Press.
Interior Ministry officials declined to comment on the arrests.
Maqsoud said Brotherhood leaders Khairat Al-Shater and Ali Abdel Hameed were among those arrested. Hameed was an unsuccessful candidate during parliamentary elections in September.
Maqsoud said he expected the government to file charges of affiliation with a banned political group and trying to promote its ideas.
