Customary norms determine what involves imitation of opposite sex
Are men allowed to wear panties (if they choose to) in Islam? I don't see any rule prohibiting this except the fact that cross dressing is haram. But to be honest, men's underwear and women's underwear in the modern day vary only slightly (for instance look at briefs). So whose to really say what is for women and what is for men? Accepting gold as a gift for a male child
It is in our custom to present gold coins or gold ornaments for the couples first new born baby (regardless boy or a girl),since for me its a boy baby as my gynaec said (in sha Allah ),can i refuse their gold gifts as it is forbidden for boys to wear gold or should i accept the gift and sell it or use it for different purpose ??

Wearing shorts that stop at the kneecap
Would it be permissible to wear shorts that stop at the middle of the knee-cap keeping in mind that some of the thigh may show when running, jumping etc. only for split second moments? Would wearing compression tights underneath the shorts (that cover the whole leg) be sufficient so as to prevent people from seeing the 'awrah when running, jumping etc.?
