Paying one employee more for the same job

Question

Assalam o alaikum dear scholars. two employees working for an organization had a common task in addition to their specific tasks. Some time ago, common task was removed from their tasks on the plea that they have other commitments to fulfill and common goal can effect their other tasks. That responsibility was then handed over to other employees of this organization. Now one of two employees mentioned earlier is benefited to give training in his native city (which is no more his specific task) on the expense of govt and also earn some other financial benefits like free travelling and TA/DA etc and meet his parents, then what is islamic ruling on this. It is worth mentioning that second employee is still not giving lectures on the plea mentioned above and asked by his bosses.jazakallah

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

There is no harm in that as long as the employee uses the benefits with the organization's knowledge and it does not involve cheating or fraud on his part. The organization is not obliged in this case to pay the other employee the same as it pays him on the grounds that he had also carried out these tasks earlier, and this does not constitute injustice. Injustice in this context is to deny someone the rights that are due to him, not to not give him the same amount that is given to someone else.

Allaah Knows best.
