Question
Assalamulaikum,
Hope you're doing well.
Basically, there is someone from my family who is interested to marry me, he has even spoken to his parents but his parents do not agree due to false rumors about me. i performed an istekhara, i get a dream at night where there is a white cloth and its floating in the air and there are 2 more people in the room, as the cloth floats i hear this voice saying which more of the signs of your Lord would you deny? He's here with you. And i suddenly wake up, with goosebumps and end up crying because i felt Allah's presence somehow. i assumed that this is a positive dream and that i should wait for him to convince his parents, then later i went for Umrah, my parents know about my situation, after performing umrah, my dad see's a dream when we woke up for fajr prayers, he says that he was having a nice conversation with the boy's parents. Then when we reached Medina, my dad wakes up and says that he just had a dream in which i was getting engaged to that boy and his parents even seemed very happy in it. Once we came back to Pakistan, My dad again had 2 more dreams, in one he was conversing with the father and in the second we were going to our village for our valima. Then i get a dream about snakes in them, i was in the bathroom, placed a black snake on the sink and its started shrinking, it was dying and there was a white snake outside but i wasn't scared from the snakes.
So, then boy get's a dream aswel he's the type who hardly ever gets a dream, in his dream he is trying to convince his parents again, after all the arguing, his parents agree in the end. After this dream, he had a word with his parents and they didnt agree. So i'm confused about these dream. since past two days i'm getting these dreams where i'm telling her mother my side of the story, is that a hint that i should contact her mother and explain my side of the story? or should i ignore it?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We do not have knowledge of dream interpretation, and we cannot decisively say whether or not what you saw in your dream requires communicating with his mother and explaining to her the part of the story that involves you. Rather, this should be decided based on the benefit you hope to attain by doing so. If you believe that this would most likely yield a benefit, then tell her; otherwise you should not. We advise you to consult someone you perceive as a sincere giver of advice. Verily, whoever seeks consultation will not regret.
Dreams may not have anything to do with the matter about which a Muslim is performing Istikhaarah (guidance-seeking prayer). It is not a condition that after Istikhaarah has been performed that one sees a dream related to it. However, there is nothing wrong in rejoicing at a good dream. The result of Istikhaarah is known by having the affair about which he performed Istikhaarah facilitated or not. Whatever happens next, regardless of whether it matches one’s desires or not, represents what is better for him.
As long as you have sought guidance from Allah, The Exalted, by performing Istikhaarah, then you should not be disappointed by the result, whatever it may be, because the One Who Knows the unseen and the consequences of all matters is Allah, The Almighty, and He Says (what means): {But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.} [Quran 2:216]
If marrying him is not facilitated, then ask Allah, The Almighty, to compensate you with someone better than him.
