Now I can't live happily all the time because of that. I am also afraid and shy and feeling dirty to myself. I am really sad and I want forgiveness of Allah. I cried and cried. I hate myself. My life which I live purely along the life has gone because of that zina. Please suggest me what should I do. I am not happy anymore that makes me feel that I lost my precious thing and made haram thing what Allah doesn't let us do.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

It is good that you realized the mistake that you had done by committing adultery; this is the beginning of treading the right path.

There is no doubt that Zina (fornication or adultery) is a great sin, and Allah sternly warned us against it as He Says (what means): {And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way.} [Quran 17:32]

The prohibition of approaching Zina means avoiding its initial steps that lead to it as mentioned by the scholars of Tafseer (interpretation of the Quran).

Being engaged in its initial steps is often caused by leniency in the dealings between the two sexes, such as sinful looking, forbidden seclusion, and other causes of temptation.

However, although this sin is a great sin, Allah’s Mercy is vast and He forgives all sins no matter how great they are. Allah Says (what means): {Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."} [Quran 39:53]

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “When a servant acknowledges his sin and repents, Allah forgives him.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Therefore, repent to Allah sincerely and think good of your Lord. Do not allow Satan to lead you into another great sin, which is despairing of the Mercy of Allah; Allah Says (what means): {… and despair not of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."} [Quran 12:87]

The conditions of sincere repentance are to give up the sin, to regret what had happened, and to be resolved not to return to this sin in the future.

Hence, we advise you to follow the path of righteousness and to acquire beneficial knowledge and perform righteous deeds, along with being keen on keeping company with pious women.

If this young man repents and is sincere in his repentance, then accept him as a husband.

Marriage is one of the best matters that are advised for those who love each other. Ibn ‘Abbas may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “The best solution for those who love each other is marriage.” [Ibn Majah]

If the matter of marriage becomes easy, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, cut off all relations with that man, and ask your Lord to bless you with a righteous husband.

You have to conceal your sin and not inform anyone else about it whether he is a suitor or anyone else.

If the hymen is broken and the husband finds out about this and asks you about your past, then you may use Tawriyyah, saying that you did not commit Zina, while intending that you did not commit Zina after you have repented, and inform him that the hymen could be broken due to many reasons, among which is menses, sudden jump, and the like.

For more benefit that hymen could be broken due to many reasons other than sexual intercourse, such as heavy menstrual bleeding, a (violent) fall, a sudden jump, and the like, please refer to Fatawa 413731 and 92632.

For more benefit on the definition of Tawriyyah, please refer to Fatawa 367429 and 351313.

Allah knows best.
