Fatwa CenterPermissibility of Using a Dilator
Question
Assalamualaikum, I am suffering from psy vaginismus.A) the therapist has asked to use dilators during period when blood flow is high. Is this permissible according to the shariah? B) They have asked to use mirrors to see vagina like a exercise. But jinns are attracted to naked body. Is this permissible as well? I haven't done it at all. C) In Islam anywhere mentioned how the salaf treated women with vaginismus?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
There is no objection to using the aforementioned medication if its benefit is known, and there is nothing in Islamic law that prohibits doing so. As for the claim that jinn are attracted to an uncovered body, this is a statement devoid of any sound basis.
Therefore, if it has been established that the exercises recommended by your physician are beneficial, there is no harm in practicing them. You should also make use of ruqyah (spiritual remedies) from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as beneficial supplications, for these are, by Allah’s permission, beneficial against all illnesses.
