Married for Two Years but No Children Yet

Question

I have no children after 2 years of my marriage. Please tell me any Du'a for this purpose. My husband and I had medical examinations and we both have some problem. But I know that my in-laws have done Saher (magic) on us. What can I do? We are worried about this.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allah, The Almighty, to grant you with pious children. We advise you not to despair after having carried medical tests as Muslims should not despair of the Mercy of Allah.

You should supplicate Allah earnestly because if He enables a person to supplicate Him, He would answer his supplication. The best supplication is the one said in the last third part of the night when Allah descends and Says: “Is there anyone to invoke Me that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone asking My Forgiveness, so that I may forgive him? (and Allah says this until dawn breaks)” [Muslim]

Therefore, you should make use of this blessed time hoping that Allah will answer your supplication as Allah is over everything Omnipotent. However, there is no special supplication for this but we recommend that you praise Allah at the beginning of your supplication in the manner that suits His Majesty and conclude it by exalting the mention of the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ).

On the other hand, you should beware of the whispers of the devil and not accuse your in-laws of magic, because doing so means cutting ties with them.

Nonetheless, it is permissible to present your case to a pious and righteous person who is specialized in Ruqyah but you should not visit magicians. If you suffer from magic, then the person who performs Ruqyah would treat it without you accusing your in-laws.

May Allah enable you to do whatever He likes and He is pleased with, and may He bless you with righteous children.

Allah knows best.
