Depends on charity from a daughter whose husband is not told

Question

If a woman does not have any kind of income sources and has no husband or son except a daughter who gives her money without telling her husband is this right or not?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

If this woman's daughter gives her mother from her own money, there is no harm since such an action is a duty on her. In addition, there is no need to inform her husband. But, if she gives her mother from her husband's money, then she is not allowed to do so without his permission.
On the other hand, a wife can take from her husband's wealth to satisfy her normal needs and the needs of her children even without the permission of her husband if he does not give her money for the daily expenses. This is proved in the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam). A wife also is not allowed to take anything more than her needs and the needs of her children, otherwise; this will be a form of theft as stated by Muslim scholars.
In other words, she cannot give anything from her husband's wealth to her mother except with her husband's permission. So, she is advised to show him more affection ask him kindly to give her something to donate to her mother as a charity.
However, Allah-The Great and Almighty, has promised those who fear Him and adhere to His Orders that He will help them to get out from every difficulty.
He Says (interpretation of meaning): {… And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine …} [65: 2-3].
Allah knows best.
