Fatwa CenterDu'a for finding a culprit
Question
Is there any specified supplication for finding a culprit for who committed a crime? Can you tell me the interpretation of the following two dreams?
1) I saw a man falling into ice but there is no effect of falling in him.
2) I saw that I am holding a small baby and suddenly he turned into a big man.
These are the reactions of Istikharah for marriage so please reply soon.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
1) We are very sorry to inform you that we do not know any Du’a (supplication) that can help one discover a criminal. However, the Du’a in general may ease that matter. Seeking help from Allah is Highly Praised. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islâmic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation)…..}[40:60]. Allah also Says (interpretation of meaning): {And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor)……}[2:186].
2) We are also sorry to inform you that our site does not specialize in interpreting dreams. Our mission is to issue Fatwa about Islamic affairs. But you should know that the dream that someone sees after Istikharah or before it does not have any importance except an inclination to that act if it is lawful and safe.
