Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

The scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them differed in opinion whether or not a person who is led in prayer has to recite Al-Faatihah (the opening chapter of the Quran) during a silent prayer. The preponderant opinion in our view [Islamweb] is that it is an obligation to recite it as clarified in Fataawa 85545 and 85326.

As regards your second question, if these executives are appointed to do this work by themselves and are not entitled to order their subordinates or others to do it, then you are not permitted to do this work on their behalf. However, if they are entitled to order others to do it on their behalf, then it is permissible for you to do it.

Allaah Knows best.
