Doubts qualifications for Islamic professor

Question

I am a professor of Islamic education, but I'm not able for this responsibility. I'm not an ideal person so I think it is better for me to seek another job.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Taking teaching as profession is, without a doubt, the noblest work that one has to be devoted to since it is the profession of Prophets, callers to the right and reformers.
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "I have been sent as a teacher" [ Ibn Majah and al-Darimi ].
Then, the best knowledge that we have to teach others is the knowledge of Islam and all subjects that are related to Islam or serve it. So, you should not be weak since you cannot be an exemplar.
Therefore, you can do your best to set things right and to be accustomed to good morals; since this is the faithful state of the Muslim teacher, who has to be an exemplar in word and in deed, in morals and action before teaching others.
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "If Allah wants to do good to someone, He helps him understand religion; acquiring knowledge is but by learning" . Again, we remind you that you regain what is lost and you can make up for what is missed to be in the best level that a teacher of Islamic education deserves.
Finally, no one can free himself from the obligations of Sharia as long as one has a mind. In other words, one has to adhere to his religion, follow orders and avoid prohibitions whether he is a teacher, Qadi, businessman, a farmer …
Allah knows best.
